
Day Aviation takes pride in the abilities and rotorwing experience
of our pilots, with logged hours from 1,500 to 20,000 hours of air
time hours. Our pilots have logged many hours in aerial spraying,
aerial construction, heli-logging, heli-skiing, long lining, seismic
operations, mineral exploration and drilling, fire fighting and
executive transport.
Service is available 365 days per year, and we are on-call 24 hours
each day. All helicopters are equipped with full operational gear
including slings, longlines, VHF AM/FM/UHF radios, GPS and Satellite
phones.
Day's main office and hanger is located at 2500 Elm Street in Sudbury.
We have helicopter bases in Timmins and Gogama. Positioning of our
aircraft allows us to serve all locations in the North.

Harry Weigelt is Operations Manager and Director of Safety and is
a long time resident of the North. Harry has vast experience and
knowledge in the helicopter industry with a background in management
of helicopters for the Ontario Government. Harry will manage your
logistical needs and is available at any time to answer your questions
and meet your requirements.
John Van Zon is Chief Pilot and Maintenance Director. John's vast
experience in flying all types and sizes of helicopters ensure that
our customers needs are met, with safety first. John's background
as an aircraft engineer and his years of flying and maintaining
aircraft ensure that our machines are always ready to go on a moments
notice.

Our Timmins Base is managed by Nick Gagnon, a life long resident
of the North. Our pilot roster includes John Hall, who has over
20,000 hours of accident free flying and who brings a wealth of
experience and knowledge on all sizes of helicopters.
