
William Day Construction carries out mining related contracting,
such as surface work and the handling and hauling or ore, waste
rock and tailings as well as a variety of work for different municipalities
within the Sudbury district.
Today the company has branched out into many construction related
sections under the supervision of Mike Houle. The company has dealt
extensively with municipal construction which includes the construction
and maintenance of water and sewage treatment facilities, water
dams and piping and pumping systems in the Sudbury district which
includes the north, Manitoulin Island and west to St. Joseph's Island
near Sault Ste. Marie.
Day Construction continues to serve the mining industry and are
involved in everything from digging open pits to decommissioning
mines, road building, road repairs, and infrastructure projects.
The company is dedicated to safety. All equipment is well maintained
and all staff receive on-going safety training and upgrading of
their skills.
William Day Construction provides their expertise on train derailments
in an area encompassing Mactier to White River and north to Chapleau.
The company is equipped to deal with any cargo and is licensed to
provide removal and clean up of any potentially hazardous products
that may be involved in a rail derailments. Staff receive on-going
training in the handling of hazardous materials and have the knowledge
and certification to safely restore the area.

the training necessary to complete each project on time and exactly
